How getting connected works

Calls are answered 24/7 by an automated assistant. It asks a few questions: your name, number, address, what is happening with the water heater, and whether it is gas, electric or tankless.

If anything sounds unsafe, like a gas smell or water near electrical equipment, the assistant will give you basic safety steps first. For a gas smell, that means leaving the house and calling your gas utility or 911 from outside.

Your details are passed to a local plumber serving Minnetonka and nearby cities. They call you back to talk through the problem and set up a visit.

Calls that come in overnight are typically returned first thing in the morning, unless emergency handling has been arranged. If you have an active leak, shut off the water and fuel to the heater while you wait.

The plumber looks at the heater and gives you a price before starting. You decide whether to go ahead. Any agreement, payment and warranty are between you and the plumber.

Have the heater's age, fuel type, tank size and any error code ready. A photo of the data plate and the leak or problem area helps the plumber come prepared with the right parts.
